Leatherheads

Leatherheads was the movie of choice for the weekend, and although it did have some cute moments, I thought it was way too long.  I caught myself checking the time at the hour and twenty three minute mark and wondering how I was going to make it through another thirty minutes.  Even George Clooney and Renee Zellweger getting smoochy didn’t do it for [...]

When Good Shoppers Go Bad

About a week ago, I went shopping for shoes.  I knew where I wanted to go and what I wanted to buy.  I’d made up my mind and I had a plan.  But as we all know, the best laid plans of mice and men, etc., etc., etc.

Drillbit Taylor

On Sunday afternoons, a friend of mine and I usually attend the matinée at our local small town theater. With three features to choose from, there’s always something that at least one of us likes, and we usually take turns choosing what we’ll watch.
Sometimes we see a movie I like, sometimes we see a movie [...]

Monk

My husband regularly refers to me as Monk, as in Adrian Monk.
Does that bother me? Not really. I happen to like the show and understand, at least in part, the problems Monk faces. While I’m not willing to expend as much energy as he does, I do sometimes find myself needing to create [...]
